NEVIO – 10

NEVIO-10 is composed of a Nicorandil tablet of 10 mg. Nicorandil is a medication that belongs to the class 0f medications called potassium-channel activators. It is effective in the treatment of painful signs and symptoms occurring due to a heart disease called angina pectoris. Angina Pectoris is basically a term that refers to chest pain or discomfort occurring due to coronary heart disease. This basically happens when the heart is not able to get as much blood as is required by it. This can happen due to blockage or narrowed arteries. 

Nicorandil brings relief from the pain or discomfort caused by angina pectoris. It works by enhancing the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart and thus reducing its workload. It acts by enhancing the supply of blood to the heart through the blood vessels. It is thus effective in treating high blood pressure. This medicine is usually prescribed to those patients who cannot take other heart medicines called beta-blockers or calcium antagonists. 

This medication is usually taken twice a day. Consult your doctor for the exact dosage and frequency of this medication. This will be determined based on the extent of the medical condition, age, past medical history, and other such factors. Strictly adhere to the schedule as prescribed by your doctor. Do not change the dosage on your own without consulting the doctor. This may worsen your condition. 

Before prescription, tell your doctor if you are allergic to nicorandil or any other ingredient of this medication or any other allergies in general. Tell your doctor about your entire medical history. Avoid this medication if you are suffering from low blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking any other medication simultaneously. This may affect the absorption of this medication.
