This drug is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure). Its works by relaxing blood vessels, by blocking the action of chemicals that tighten the blood vessels. This helps the blood to flow easily.  High blood pressure may result in strokes, heart attacks, kidney problems, etc. It takes at least 2 weeks to show results and about 8 weeks to show the full benefit of this medicine.
